The Arts Society provides children and young people with exciting opportunities to get involved in creative arts activities. Our work with young people builds a lasting enthusiasm for the arts and an awareness of arts heritage and its conservation. ‚Äč

Here is a photograph arising from work for a canvas and lino project produced by young patients in the recently closed down Children’s Ward in Ealing Hospital.  The work was supervised by Ania Gedye whose inspirational work EDFAS supported for several years. Some members may remember the talk she gave in Autumn 2014 about her work in the hospital. The canvases arise from visits by a range of museums involved in outreach work. Ania has now moved on to a new post in the Medical Outreach Team. She expressed her gratitude for our support by writing the following:

"Thank you so much to EDFAS for the wonderful support of the Hospital Schoolroom over the years. We have done some wonderful creative activities all thanks to your thoughtful and generous donations. Your donations have reached children from all over Ealing who have spent time on the Hospital Ward and have allowed these children to participate in creative and therapeutic art activities, which they have enjoyed and which have made their stay in hospital a little less difficult. The final canvas and lino project has resulted in some lovely art work which will stay behind to decorate the paediatric outpatients area of the hospital."
